About Me

My photo
My name is Hassan Farah. I was born in the notorious City of Mogadishu (Somalia) a few years before the endless Civil War erupted in 1990. I lived as a Refugee in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda, before finally resettling in Buffalo, New York, ten days after the horrible incidents of September 11th, 2001. Since arriving in Buffalo, I have worked hard for a better future—I am a strong believer in hard work and education as the means of getting ahead in life. I graduated with honors in duo majors and a minor from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). (Economics, International Studies & minor Political Science). I am an ambitious young man who lives with the conviction that a life so blessed should be lived in service to others. I am an avid community activist who volunteers for many organizations in the City of Buffalo. I am the founder of HEAL-INTERNATIONAL INC a non-profit 501(c) community organization that aims to alleviate poverty in the City of Buffalo by empowering the poor and the refugee populations through economical, social, and political integration. I plan to continue serving my community before continuing my education thrives.
